![]() The INFINITI QX60 offers just a little more front head- and legroom than the Genesis GV80, offering the driver and front passenger a bit more room and comfort. Its biggest detriment is that it drives too much like its Pathfinder sibling, which isn’t necessarily bad, but does result in a reduced sense of the specialness that upscale nameplates count on to stand out.Ĭheck out the specs of the latest Infiniti QX60 model.Rear passengers will be able to stretch out a lot more in the Genesis GV80 than in the INFINITI QX60. The QX60’s strength is that it offers decent looks on the outside and a suitably posh and roomy cabin at a price point that is certainly not out of line with the other three-row competition, of which there are quite a few. Further bump ups to the Sensory or Autograph add to the cabin niceties and infotainment. All the vehicle controls are centred on the centre stack and console, large, legible and easy to access. Moving up from the Pure to the Luxe comes with an upgrade to the 20-inch wheels, plus 12.3-inch Dynamic Meter Display, enhanced ProPilot Assist with Navi-Link, navigation, around-view monitor with moving object detection, lane departure warning and more. All trims are equipped with a 12.3-inch InTouch interactive display with wireless Apple CarPlay and USB-based Android Auto compatibility, a panoramic sunroof, power liftgate and rear parking sensors. Infiniti’s claim that the cabin is “full of technology that takes the stress out of driving,” has merit. Power-return buttons at the back make raising the seat backs a doddle. However, these seats are one-touch fold-down, which, when dropped more than doubles cargo capacity from a tight 411 litres to a generous 1,178 litres. The rear-most row, like almost all crossovers that are not truly full-sized, is only suitable for the young and short. ![]() The thing is, while I found my seat properly comfortable on the drive back from Creemore, buddy Jim complained of a lack of support, resulting in “numb bum.” Also, if front-seat occupants are on the tall side, equally tall passengers in the second-row captain’s chairs could find kneeroom a bit compromised.Ģ023 Infiniti QX60 Autograph Photo by Brian Harper Handy when drivers are of significantly differing sizes, such as the 13-inch difference in height between the missus and me. The driver’s seat features dual occupant memory functionality linked with the outside mirrors. ![]() Still, know that the system is enhanced with a direct coupling engagement that quickly transfers up to 50 per cent of available power to the rear wheels for better traction.Īll QX60s come with heated, eight-way power-adjustable “zero gravity” front seats with power lumbar adjustment. As it was a gorgeous late winter day, sunshine, blue skies and no wind, the Intelligent all-wheel-drive system - standard across the board - was given little in the way of a workout. And while the ride is generally comfortable, potholes and frost heaves will be felt, the Autograph’s 20-inch tires (P255/50R20s all around) were not overly forgiving. In terms of ride and handling, the QX60 is what’s sometimes referred to as a “softy.” It doesn’t corner with any great enthusiasm, preferring a milder approach when making a turn.
